In case you haven't heard or have been living in a cave/under a rock/at the bottom of the sea (ooh! we like that last option!) the M Awards is the annual Victoria arts community showcase/recognition ceremony put on by esteemed local weekly, Monday Magazine. Nominations and winners are decided by the public and last night, at a raucous and random gong-show of an awards night, Tongues of Fire took home the award for Favourite Performance/Cabaret Series!
Tongues of Fire has been putting on shows since 2005, so this recognition, this honour, is to be shared by all who've participated in making ToF what it is today. Thanks to all our audience(s), our poets (local and from elsewhere), our crazy volunteers (some degree of insanity is a pre-requisite for that gig, lemmetellya!) and of course the Solstice Cafe for being our home for so long.
